La Saleth Church

La Saleth Church is a popular tourist destination in Kodaikanal. Situated on St. Mary’s Road, just 1.4 km from Kodai Lake and 1.7 km from the Kodaikanal bus stand. Visitors can easily reach the church from either Coaker’s Walk or Bryant Park, as it is within walking distance from both places. This church holds a unique charm due to its historical significance; it was built a long time ago, in 1866. Mahalakshmi Temple

Green Valley View

Green Valley Viewpoint, previously known as Suicide Point, is a special place to visit if you want to see an amazing view and learn a bit about the local history. Even though the name has changed to focus more on safety and the beauty of the spot, there’s an interesting story behind it.

The best part of the visit is definitely the view. As you walk through the busy market with lots of tasty homemade chocolates and souvenirs, you’ll reach the viewpoint and be amazed. Green valleys covered with pine trees stretch out as far as you can see, with charming villages and sparkling lakes. In the distance, the Vaigai Dam adds a touch of greatness to the scene.

The tall rocks around the viewpoint have been there for a very long time, and you can almost hear their stories in the wind. The old name, Suicide Point, tells a sad part of the area’s history. But now, safety measures are in place to make sure everyone can enjoy the view safely.

Look out for the playful monkeys that live there! They’re used to visitors and might try to grab a snack, so be careful. Even though they add some excitement, it’s important to be respectful and not feed them.
